Back to School: Designing a Home Away From Home

We have all had a crazy year but students have also experienced challenging times when it comes to schooling. All of those who looked forwards to the freshman experience on a college campus was not able to live that out and switched to online study instead.

Even though we aren't back to the way that things were before the pandemic, we are embracing a new normal that does allow all of these young adults to safely gather back into the classroom and live in their dorms. And just like with any other space in a home, space in a campus also needs some love and care when it comes to designing!

We challenged our users to create different spaces around a college campus that would make students feel like they were at home and in their own space. This is a chance for them to explore different styles across a variety of places. We gave them spaces like dorm rooms, study halls, cafeteria spaces, etc. Check out some of their beautiful designs!
