As an integral member of DecorMatters’s Marketing team, owning the Content Marketing function from strategy to execution: you would define content marketing objectives and manage an editorial calendar based on company-wide goals that support and extend sales and marketing initiatives, both short- and long-term. The best candidates we would consider have a passion for interior design and home décor, proven track record of successfully implementing a content marketing strategy in support of brand-building, customer relationship maintaining, and be able to provide data that shows how content marketing contributes to quantifiable leads and revenue.
Create and manage content for user community about interior design, home décor, and furniture shopping
Create and manage a library of content, spanning multiple audiences and at all stages of the buyer's journey—from awareness, to consideration, to close. Identify and create content with unique narratives for target verticals and buyer personas, based on market trends, data and best practices
Act as a corporate journalist to produce high quality content on a regular basis, which includes customer case studies, blogs, social media posts, infographics, videos, white papers, benchmark reports, etc. with an acute understanding of how to tailor content for every step of the sales funnel
Transform technical content, use cases and abstract concepts into meaningful, business-relevant messaging that furthers DecorMatters’s reputation as an industry leader in delivering re-defined shopping experience to its users
Partner with Product Marketing to develop content strategies, promotion and distribution plans that drive readership and conversions
Partner with Sr. Marketing Manager and Business Development on marketing and content needs, e.g., customer and partner newsletters. Work with DecorMatters's partners in the mobile landscape to plan campaigns, events and other partner-marketing to identify cross-sell opportunities, vertical expansions and new leads
Define social strategies in order to effectively promote co-marketing and demand generation programs. Participate in online and community forums to evangelize DecorMatters and educate the market on its business values and product offerings
Use data and analytics to continually measure the impact of content and optimize content marketing programs on all identified marketing and sales channels
Minimum of 3 years of experience in B2C content marketing, ideally in mobile enterprise, analytics or ad tech
Can explain complicated concepts in a simple, linear and holistic way; has a passion for data and an instinct for data-driven narratives
Strong ability to produce technical content as needed. Must understand or have an aptitude to learn data, marketing and ad-tech tech stacks, and be able to analyze customer data to derive meaningful success stories
Ideal candidate is obsessed with data and measurement, both of content marketing conversions and also client KPIs
Intellectual curiosity and predisposition to creative problem-solving. Willingness to tackle complex, often unfamiliar projects or concepts and multitask under pressure, in a fast-paced work environment
Ability to build productive, collaborative relationships with cross-functional stakeholders in order to produce deep, original content. This role is more than content marketing--the candidate must understand how Product Management functions, what Sales needs in order to perform, and has high empathy for DecorMatters's wide breadth of advertising and publishing clients
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field
Any coursework or studies in STEM or Finance highly desirable
Experience with writing for interior design and/or brand and performance marketers a bonus
